It is concluded that those blended family adolescent are
better off emotionally when they spend their time with grandparents. Furthermore,
they possess better social skills and lesser behavioral related problems. These
children living with their grandparents consider them as the source of comfort
especially those who are in single parent family or step family households. Also,
we all know that the grandparents offer a solution when it comes to lowering
the stress in the family. They can boost the parents who have been in the
negative situations such as divorce or parental death, which helps a lot to the
kids in the household.
The kids normally became less disruptive and less
hyperactive when they talk to their grandparent often with their school
activities and social life. They are also able to go along with their peers. However,
the adolescent in a step family is the most benefited to this kind of
situation. When you compared children from two biological parent families to
the blended family kids, you can determine that the grandparent influence to
the kids on a blended family is much stronger.
